Revolutionizing Parenting with the Multifunctional Smart Crib

Shahbazyan's inspiration for Cribby stemmed from observing the stress that expecting parents face. The need for new settings of care for the first months of a baby's life, coupled with the time wasted on researching suitable devices for nannying, led to the creation of this multifunctional crib. Cribby aims to eliminate the need for multiple devices and installations, which often occupy considerable space and cause difficulties in managing, processing, and controlling data.

What sets Cribby apart from other baby cribs is its unique properties. It is the first smart baby crib equipped with everything a modern parent would need: a scale, a built-in camera, a loudspeaker for talking to the child or playing a lullaby, dimmable lights, and multiple monitoring sensors, including noise, humidity, temperature, and motion detection. All of these features can be controlled via a smartphone, making it a truly smart crib.

Cribby is not just a technological marvel; it is also a testament to craftsmanship and sustainability. Made of organic materials including wood, plywood, and natural wood veneer, the crib is manufactured with professional workmanship and is coated with wax oils and silicone paints. The crib's hardware is managed by a user-friendly mobile application, which interacts with it with the help of Cribby's cloud service.

The crib's technical specifications are equally impressive. With product dimensions of 1750 mm x 740 mm x 930 mm (LWH) and a weight of 29 kg, Cribby is a compact and lightweight solution for modern parents. The crib is made of Ashwood, Plywood, and Ashwood veneer, and is finished with honey wax, oil, and silicone paint.

The design team behind Cribby includes Gor Shahbazyan as the designer, Hovhannes Kuloghlyan as the CTO, Edgar Davtyan as the Marketing Manager, and Areg Gevorgyan as the Business Development Manager. The team's efforts have resulted in a product that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Cribby was introduced in December 2017 at AGBU Armenia and has since undergone numerous improvements to enhance its application and functionality.

Despite initial diverse feedback and concerns that the smart bed would distance the child from parents, the team emphasized on helping parents stay connected with their babies every single second. The crib is designed to help parents prevent any potentially dangerous or uncomfortable situations for the child. Furthermore, parents are no longer obliged to purchase a variety of devices to arrange at the bedside.

Cribby's innovative design and functionality have not gone unnoticed. The design was awarded Silver in A' Baby, Kids and Children's Products Design Award in 2019, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
